A declaration on oath is a declaration by someone made with some kind of formalism and solemnity, in presence of an authority (judge, notary public, etc.) whereby the person certifies that he/she tells the truth regarding of a fact or series of facts or promise etc.
The declaration on oath can be used in a commercial court action regarding a receivable but it could be disputed by another party hence is less final than written proof.
