The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the agreed port of departure and loading them onto the vessel selected by the buyer. From the moment the goods are on board, the risks and transport obligations pass to the buyer. In short: FOB is an <a href=\"https:\/\/tcm.be\/en\/glossarium-en\/incoterm\/\">Incoterm <\/a>used for sea transport under which the risk passes to the buyer as soon as the goods are loaded on board the vessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Updated: 27\/08\/2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Definitions provided under this section refer to the Belgian situation; unless specified otherwise.
