Every year, theTCM Group<\/a>, the global debt collection network to which TCM Belgium belongs, supports a charity as part of theirsocial awareness programme<\/strong><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This programme was created in 2013 in the aftermath of the earthquake in Sichuan, China. TCM China has thousands of employees, making it the largest partner in the TCM network.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGM 2023: Paris<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Charity auction<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During TCM Group’s annualAGM<\/strong>, which this year will take place inParis<\/strong>between 18\/04 and 21\/04, thetradition<\/strong>is to organise acharity auction<\/strong>. The proceeds of that auction will go entirely to that year’s chosen charity. Each partner will bring two attributes that will be auctioned, linked to their country of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the corona pandemic, no AGM could take place in recent years.The last AGM was held in Seoul, South Korea, in 2019<\/strong>. During the auction that year, dedicated to theMake A Wish<\/strong>foundation,USD 29,030<\/strong>was collected. A record donation that was transferred in full to the foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charity: Lazare<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This year, they chose theorganisationLazare<\/a><\/strong>, which is dedicated to housing the homeless.Families or students voluntarily live with homeless people<\/strong>in the houses opened for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This way of living together helps homeless people reconnect with society and prevent them from ending up on the streets again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odette Lunettes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

TCM Belgium choseOdette Lunettes<\/strong><\/a>‘ eyewear this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The link to Belgium is obvious. Odette Lunettes is a Belgian brand founded byEline De Munck<\/strong>. Odette Lunettes won the ‘Oscar for eyewear’ at the international fair Silmo in 2022 for their line for children, Odette Cadet. In Paris of all places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition,Eline De Munck has also designed sports glasses together with Belgian world cycling champion Tom Boonen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The glasses are also made thanks to the revolutionary 3D printing technology ofMaterialise<\/a>, also a Belgian company and TCM Belgium customer. Tokai, a Belgian-Japanese joint venture supplies the lenses. These collaborations make Odette Lunettes’ glasses a Belgian success story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
