Lorsque le bien est un <strong>bien mobilier<\/strong>, on parle de <strong>gage<\/strong>. Lorsque le bien est <strong>immobilier<\/strong>, on parle d\u2019<strong>antichr\u00e8se<\/strong> (remplac\u00e9 par l\u2019<strong>hypoth\u00e8que<\/strong> car elle n\u2019implique pas la d\u00e9possession du bien par le d\u00e9biteur). Notons toutefois l\u2019existence d\u2019un <strong>gage sans d\u00e9possession<\/strong> sur fonds de commerce.
