ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019: Etienne van der Vaeren, CEO

ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019

Etienne van der Vaeren, CEO

The end of the year is approaching, time for some (self-)reflection! During this festive period we ask our TCM colleagues to take a look back at their personal TCM highlights of 2019. Today it is Etienne’s turn, our CEO. Etienne, what will you mainly remember about the past TCM year?

  • As CEO, it is permitted to say that I am enormously proud of TCM Belgium, and 2019 was a top year for our company after all. I am proud to be able to say that we will end 2019 with a small profit, and this despite the many (IT) investments we have made again last year (QR code for payments, Power BI for customers, database security, API for customers, …) . In addition, we are also working hard to expand our customer base and provide qualitative support. We have also developed several new partnerships with professional associations in 2019, including the larger ones in Belgium. In order to fully protect customers and debtors, we work in full compliance with theGDPRregulation (one of my personal hobbyhorses), both contractually and technologically. In 2019 it also became all the more clear to us what impact communication can have on our company. It is clearly not enough to deliver high quality work, that work has to be seen and therefore promoted. So we invested in marketing and communication through numerous informative blog posts and activities on social media. In short, TCM Belgium has strongly improved, not only in terms of turnover, but also in several other areas. #growthmindset
  • The most satisfying point for me looking back on 2019, is the good cooperation with, and between, the TCM employees. Last year’s efforts demanded a lot from our team. But thanks to the teamwork, the friendly approach, and the problem solving attitude, TCM was able to guarantee the quality of our services to both creditors and debtors. As a result, I see even more opportunities in the future. #newopportunities
  • In 2019 we launched the preparations of the TCM Group AGM, and more specifically of theInternational Credit Management Dayon May 13th2020. The preparations are now in full swing, and give me the opportunity to work closely with my TCM colleagues and our international partners in a different way. I am convinced that the International Credit Management Day will also be a qualitative event and I can’t wait to welcome our TCM partners and (potential) customers in Brussels. We are ready for 2020! #teamwork

 Thanks, Etienne!
