ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019: Sven Dereze, Sales Manager
ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019
Sven Dereze: Sales Manager

The end of the year is approaching, time for some (self-)reflection! During this festive period we ask our TCM colleagues to take a look back at their personal TCM highlights of 2019. Today it is Sven’s turn, our sales manager. Sven, what will you mainly remember about the past TCM year?
- The idea of setting uppartnershipswith federations, bookkeepers, and other actors started to blossom in my head a few years ago. By now, we have manypartnershipson our record, and it feels good to see that list grow every year. The latest additions of 2019 are Fedustria, Crion, and the Timber Federation. I’m a proud sales manager! #Partner business
- I honestly admit that I’m not that home in the IT world, but I quickly realized the possibilities that anAPI connectionwould mean for us as well as for a possible connection. So I put our IT people to work so that we could be one of the trendsetters in offering this possibility. And as a sales manager I am clearly a fan of making (all kinds of) contacts . We have already established an API connection with Casius, and in 2019 we started developing several new connections. Hopefully these can be completed in 2020. #getconnected
- I think I missed out on a career as a teacher, becauseI get a lot of satisfaction from training and informing colleagues, clients, and students. Or maybe I just like to hear myself speak. . . Last year I was asked by Pedic Gent and Erasmushogeschool (campus Leuven & Diest) to give some courses. Nice to experience that interaction with students! #teachmeteacher
- As a fervent car fan, receiving a (new) company car is one of the highlights of the year. In 2019, I opted for an ecological alternative and not for my favourite. That hurt, buta hybrid caris better for the environment and we all have to start being more considerate about that. So last year meant a serious lifestyle change. Fortunately, CEO Etienne had some electric charging poles installed, which also made it feasible to work with a hybrid car. #changeforthebetter
- The preparations for the TCM Group AGM week in Brussels (May 2020) (and theInternational Credit Management Dayas the highlight of that week) are in full swing. During that week there is traditionally an auction for charity held by the host country of that year. At my suggestion this year, we have decided to transfer the collected money of the auction toTADA(ToekomstATELIERdelAvenir), a network that focusses on learning and that is close to the heart of one of my friends. It does special work for socially vulnerable young people. #impact
Thanks, Sven!
