TCM Group’s social awareness programme

Every year, theTCM Group, the global debt collection network to which TCM Belgium belongs, supports a charity as part of theirsocial awareness programme.

This programme was created in 2013 in the aftermath of the earthquake in Sichuan, China. TCM China has thousands of employees, making it the largest partner in the TCM network.

AGM 2023: Paris

Charity auction

During TCM Group’s annualAGM, which this year will take place inParisbetween 18/04 and 21/04, thetraditionis to organise acharity auction. The proceeds of that auction will go entirely to that year’s chosen charity. Each partner will bring two attributes that will be auctioned, linked to their country of origin.

Due to the corona pandemic, no AGM could take place in recent years.The last AGM was held in Seoul, South Korea, in 2019. During the auction that year, dedicated to theMake A Wishfoundation,USD 29,030was collected. A record donation that was transferred in full to the foundation.

Charity: Lazare

This year, they chose theorganisationLazare, which is dedicated to housing the homeless.Families or students voluntarily live with homeless peoplein the houses opened for this purpose.

This way of living together helps homeless people reconnect with society and prevent them from ending up on the streets again.

Odette Lunettes

TCM Belgium choseOdette Lunettes‘ eyewear this year.

The link to Belgium is obvious. Odette Lunettes is a Belgian brand founded byEline De Munck. Odette Lunettes won the ‘Oscar for eyewear’ at the international fair Silmo in 2022 for their line for children, Odette Cadet. In Paris of all places.

In addition,Eline De Munck has also designed sports glasses together with Belgian world cycling champion Tom Boonen.

The glasses are also made thanks to the revolutionary 3D printing technology ofMaterialise, also a Belgian company and TCM Belgium customer. Tokai, a Belgian-Japanese joint venture supplies the lenses. These collaborations make Odette Lunettes’ glasses a Belgian success story.
