ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019: Tifanny Jacobs, credit controller
ANNUAL TCM REVIEW 2019
Tifanny Jacobs: credit controller

The end of the year is approaching, time for some (self-)reflection! During this festive period we ask our TCM colleagues to take a look back at their personal TCM highlights of 2019. Today it is Tifanny’s turn, our credit controller. Tifanny, what will you mainly remember about the past TCM year?
- For me, (the end of) 2019 is the start of my career at TCM Belgium. Since November I work as a credit controller, quite a change compared to my previous job in the hospitality industry. What helps me on my way is the social feeling my previous position has taught me. I’m curious how I’m going to develop further in this job and what TCM Belgium has in store for me. Every day I receive new tasks that I need to master in my job, and I receive further training in the various aspects of my function. It’s nice to experience a sense of independence and freedom in a short period of time, and to have the opportunity to get in touch with customers and debtors. Progress stimulates, so challenge accepted! #newwinthefield
- Until recently, French was the main language in my everyday life. Although I have been living in Heverlee for 15 years, I mainly stayed in Brussels for educational and professional opportunities, and because of the absence of language barriers. Dutch is the mother tongue of part of the TCM Belgium team, which made me break out of my comfort zone and do my best to make a click with those colleagues. So in 2019 I recovered and expanded my notions of Dutch. #notlostintranslation
Thank you, Tifanny!
