Glossary
In an amicable recovery process, the burden of proof lies with the creditor, who must demonstrate that the claim is justified. This includes providing all supporting documents (contracts, invoices, account statements, reminders, etc.) and ensuring the claim is certain, liquid, and due. A creditor who cannot substantiate a claim may not validly pursue collection efforts, and unjustified claims can lead to liability
