IOS-procedure

The IOS procedure (Recovery of Uncontested Debts) is an administrative collection procedure for B2B claims in Belgium. It allows for the obtaining of an enforceable title without court intervention through a lawyer and a judicial officer (bailiff), based on an undisputed and due debt. Additional costs and interest are legally capped at a maximum of 10% of the principal amount, including a flat-rate compensation of €40, and the procedure is faster and more cost-effective than traditional court proceedings.
