Peppol
Glossary
Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) is an international network that allows companies and public authorities to securely and standardly exchange structured electronic documents, such as invoices and orders.
The system operates through so‑called Access Points, with each participant receiving a unique Peppol ID.
Starting from January 1st, 2026, e‑invoicing via Peppol becomes mandatory for all Belgian VAT‑liable companies in B2B relationships.
Peppol increases the efficiency, security, and speed of invoicing while reducing errors and fraud.
The network is used worldwide and is compatible with most accounting and ERP systems.
