Service of process / Official notification
Glossary
Service of process is the official delivery of a document or notification to a person, usually by a bailiff, in order to validly inform them from a legal point of view. It is commonly used for summonses, judgments, or other legal documents, and may, in certain cases, also be carried out by registered mail or through foreign bailiffs.
