Termination clause

Glossary

A termination clause is a contractual provision that sets out the conditions under which a contract may be terminated before its agreed end date. It typically specifies the grounds for termination, the procedure to follow, any notice periods, and the consequences for the parties. Such a clause must be reciprocal and balanced to remain valid under contract law.
